About Us

Just a couple dudes that grew up in SF bay area. We both like Rock and tinkering with old machines. I had been given an old CT70 that needed a lot of work. Somehow the subject came up and Don said “really, I can help you with that.” It was like going to Honda and being able to get what you need right off the shelf. (At one time Don was into buying and parting out machines of that type for profit. He did quite well with it too.) We had thatĀ 70 ship shape in not time. So through talking about different things I mention an idea I had onĀ bringing an umbrella stand to market as I saw a need. Don helped with some of the preliminary work and he is a great sounding board for ideas. He has backed out of actual involvement as his time and desires have taken him into a new passion of woodworking.

I then took the idea to Tricity plastics and hired the help of Brian. Let me tell you that it was the best move to make. His knowledge in plastic fabrication and general invention savvy made all the difference in getting the idea made. And that is where we are today.

It has been about 2 year since the td launch and umbrella stand build. Don has graciously stepped away from td so I consider my son Jonny to be the s in dudes. I run an ad in SF bay area Craigslist for “Small engine repair” that helps to make ends meet. On many forum boards for classic motorcycles I go by the handle Gerotor (inside some types of pumps).

The site has finally started going through changes, I have changed. I am finally embracing my id and moving forward. Anyway “ground control to Major Tom” I am going to put a list here. Of people famous or not that I would like to have a conversation on whatever was up. It is not to say that we have anything in common, just maybe it would click.

Superman: Ride of Steel - After the first hill big, fast & Fun!
Desperado - This is just a cool coaster
Roar - Six Flags, Valejo - I’ve ridden a clone at Six Flags, America it was just not the same.
Giant Dipper - This coaster was probably my second ever ridden and it still remains one of my favorites. That first drop into the tunnel is wicked cool!
