Using Twitter

April 21st, 2011 by Jon

Hello Friends,

Here you are at thinkingdudes, welcome. I am going to take this to time to express my feelings about how I am going to use Twitter. I started off like everyone else determined to get followers as I was amazed that others had thousands. Though mine growing somewhat steadily is still not in the thousands, I look at my timeline it is just mainly follow me follow you, bunch of mentions. Where are the things I really care about? The people I want to hear from, I can’t find em within all the white noise (I coulda called it black noise just as easy).

Please don’t take it personal if I cut you out of my following list. If you got anything good to say I will be more than happy to RT to others from a mention. I appreciate everyone who RTs and mentions me, in a alot of ways It’s a bit like Christmas. I just want to be more effective at my chosen lively hood, even at the risk of becoming less popular.

I like contacting, mentioning and RTing in the short blurb, I ain’t got time to slack off on my being lazy. Get in get out and nobody gets hurt. Let me explain that again, get in get out and nobody gets hurt! Make it snappy, put some pepper on it, do it quick. I like the challenge of having to make it fit and still try and get a message across. Am I fooling myself in that all it is, is jibberish that nobody understands or even cares to try? It doesn’t matter who’s gonna come here anyway? Well you did and that’s a start.

So my friend, Twitter is a great tool for me as I like the quick, short quip, even if just to amuse myself. Also I use it to set up contacts and to promote business. Not in the hire a robot to blast away, but in me being the robot with personality. It has been said and proven over and over again that technology is no good without looking at the humanistic desire for that technology. All the best movie special effects can’t save a crappy story. I don’t like using technology, if I can’t be human with it. Twitter is my choice for now, How about you?

Best,

Jon

CompoClay At thinkingdudes

February 27th, 2011 by Jon

To all of you who find themselves here, welcome to the current state of thinkingdudes. I have made available some popular decor items made from the greener process called CompoClay. You can find them in the tab above. CompoClay is a Patent Pending, Eco-Friendly, Raw Material manufacturing process and it can be molded and finished to high detail. We don’t need everything made out of CompoClay but the things we do as in restoration it makes sense to use a process that is considerably less than current practices, because it is important for current and future generations. You can learn more about it at CompoClay.com. Those of you who can and want to please give feedback are welcome to voice it as you see it.

Ok Folks this is how it works…

December 16th, 2010 by Jon

Jon here @thinkingdudes, I’ve been thinking (go figure) about what it takes to raise money in this market when you don’t have any to use yet. I figure @CompoClay will be the current flagship in with which to do it. What I need at this point is more web presence and website horsepower. I want to take thinkingdudes.com to the next level in ecommerce and information by having administrators and artists contributing their efforts into making money. The way I look at it if your claims to bring me gobs of money with your skills require a fee, well I say make me some money and you will get paid. I have domain names and I have exposure and I have a viable green product available to be offered to the world. If you have the vision and the means to help us get there then let’s talk.
Thank you,
Jon

A letter to Scott

November 29th, 2010 by Jon

Photobucket
Your cool man,

Just work with what you know for now, I have just returned from a very enjoyable connection making trip through the heart of Utah. Through my cousin Dale Parkes, in St. George I met with the Werner bros. who have made a slick marketing tool called landings. It is used by many of the best to market on the web. You should come see me sometime in Alameda, CA @ CompoClay, you will enjoy seeing the old hotel I work in. Just call, the address is 2536 Santa Clara Street, corner of Broadway. Choose your poisons wisely and be careful in maintaining self without losing to others. Total acceptance of ones self gives acceptance from other selfs, without fighting self and experiencing others generosity, leads to serendipity, the happen stance of getting more than what you really wanted, Booyah!

Take care,

Jon

Social networking 101

November 12th, 2010 by Jon

Or at least how I think it works, When I ask most people if they have their social network in order, like most things the hand goes up in horror because we have all heard the stories about time waistng. The intersection right now of time and technology is determining that if you don’t get your company social network moving to be created you will fall behind and have to play catch up. We are in the now generation where information from one part of the globe can be instantly transmitted to the rest and the gaps are narrowing.

Especially here in the United States where our children are growing up with the social network and now how to use it. Companies will need people with keene sense for types of information that can monitor channels in real time feedback from customers. Servers can count and flag but they can’t notice trends and get a human sense for what is important and what is noise. (yet)…

Changes in me and the internet

November 3rd, 2010 by Jon

Ladies and Gentlmen, your attention Please! In this corner we have the one who is strong, in fact he’s so strong his breath stinks! At least that’s what my wife says… buh duh duh tisss. Having made the move to twitter I’ve been able to get that connection I needed with others in this verse and share in the wealth. Aren’t we all tired of everyone saying how bad it is and heck no I ain’t got no extra money. I don’t want to take a giant gob of money from you to have hangin in the wind. I am willing to give but first I need givers. Ones who understand the mechanics of a dream and the necessities to make it come to pass. Yes it is just a donation for now until I get the lawyers and Accountants retained. We will certainly work something out later since we all have record of the transaction. Also I will use my interactive skills to help improve our presence on the web.
Thank you for your time,
Jon

Opportunities

October 8th, 2010 by Jon

Thinkingdudes.com has many website related projects that have quite a gambit of possibilities.

thinkingdudes.com itself, brainchild of Jon Edward Parkes, 2674, dedicated to exploring untapped resources of unique experiences. Full out utilization of technology and creating new. Taking a pro active aproach in providing secure stability through investing, hard work and luck.

betterunderstanding.org- I myself have done things that I am ashamed and not proud of, I and others have said, “if only we had a better understanding, I probably wouldn’t have…” whatever it is, is better understood through unbiased education and that requires both sides to the story. betterunderstanding.org will be dedicated to presenting that information in a fun and entertaining all inclusive mobile studio funky machine of the like. Iconic unto itself, it will also don the marks of notable characters past and present. Back stories of feats and failures will be created to make icons identifiable or personable.

bonneville50th.com- So like way back when I’m drivin through Nevada on my way to Salt Lake City, when I stop in Wendover and find it is also the 50th run of the reciprocators out on the salt flats. I remember tastin this stuff when I was two, anyway I spent the night in my car and hung out for some of the event. I took pictures & video, bought a souvenir program & t-shirt, then spent 10 bucks in quarters to spray the caked on salt off. (chase) I am taking those items and putting them into a display/entertainment case as a one of a kind original edition (only if SCTA sanctioned). To be sold or just presented if still taping on Pawn Stars. I mean who wouldn’t want an item that comes with its own website? I’m sure Mr. Lee would.

Plus more, just dividing my time and will update later
